Guest Column: Prison Tourism

Peru puts new wrinkle on Incarceration Planet
by Bo Keeley

Prison TourismTake a virtual tour of the infamous Lurigancho Lima prison before visiting Peru as a tourist. Watch 50,000 cans of beer tumble off a truck into the prison yard courtesy of the warden who takes a 25-cent commission, try your luck at the casinos, dance shirtless in the disco, pretty girls, drugs, attend church, get a haircut, 12 restaurants run by inmates, a multiple-language library, private rooms and condos, and each of the 300 foreign inmates has a laptop WiFi to run world drug operations on Skype or, as my friend Hank avows, to stay in touch back home. Guest Column: The Real Bill for BP Oil Disaster

BP wants $15 billion; $192 billion is more exact
by Antonia Juhasz

BP Oil DamagesFor an eye-opening book of the corporate negligence and GOTUS police state collusion that went into the ‘BP Disaster,’ I recommend a quiet read of Ms. Juhasz’ groundbreaking expose, Black Tide. Irrespective of whether you’re a ‘drill, baby, drill’ cheerleader or a ‘save the baby pelicans’ bleeding heart, you will have a hard time walking away from and dismissing the wholesale criminality at BP and within the federal government that her hard-hitting journalistic account reveals. The following is excerpted from Antonia’s article in HuffPost, 6/11/12: Continue reading

Guest Column: Colonized by Corporations

“Why men do not revolt”
by Chris Hedges

(excerpted from Common Dreams column 5/14/12)

Colonized by CorporationsIn Robert E. Gamer’s book The Developing Nations is a chapter called “Why Men Do Not Revolt.” In it Gamer notes that although the oppressed often do revolt, the object of their hostility is misplaced. They vent their fury on a political puppet, someone who masks colonial power, a despised racial or ethnic group or an apostate within their own political class. The useless battles serve as an effective mask for what Gamer calls the “patron-client” networks that are responsible for the continuity of colonial oppression. Continue reading

Guest Column: Game Over for the Climate… if…

The science of the situation is clear
— it’s time for the politics to follow
by James Hansen

Excerpted by the Coffee Coaster 5/14/12Global Warming, Hansen
Full 5.10.12 column in Common Dreams

‘Global warming’ is a controversial subject in the freedom movement, with a sizable percentage dismissing it as globalist propaganda intended to better control the masses. I think we need to separate the science from the agendas present on one side of the Cartelocracy or the other, then do what we can as human beings to avoid realistic dangers of climate catastrophe in the geologic-time near term.

Dr. Hansen‘s comments, now as a private citizen, seem prudent and solid to me from the perspective of simple rationality. Plus his suggested fixes appear to be a lot freer from politics and globalist meddling than cap and trade. — bw Continue reading

Paul Joseph Watson, Infowars.com

Army Reeducation Camps“We [Alex Jones and other journalists at infowars.com and prisonplanet.com] have exhaustively documented preparations for the mass internment of citizens inside America, but this is the first time that language concerning the reeducation of detainees, in particular political activists, has cropped up in our research.” Continue reading
