Why the final official report about 9/11
is unscientific and false

In the grand scheme of the cosmos of the Official Conspiracy Theory of 9/11 (OCT), the United States Government (USG) has produced several official documents purporting to describe the causes and effects of the 9/11 attacks (9/11), particularly the destruction of the Twin Towers (WTC Buildings 1 and 2) and—after a popular outcry—WTC 7... which disintegrated in symmetrical free fall at 5:21 in the afternoon on that fateful day. The government's primary documents are roughly described in the following sequence:

1. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) report. In May of 2002 FEMA released its World Trade Center Building Performance Study.
2. The Kean-Zelikow Commission report (9/11 Commission Report), July 2004.
3. August 2005, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Final Report on the Collapse of World Trade Center Towers.
4. August 2008, Draft of Final Report on WTC 7, and November 2008, Final Report on WTC 7: Final Report on the Collapse of World Trade Center Building Center (NIST NCSTAR 1A).

Until 2008, neither NIST nor any other government entity had touched the question of why WTC7 disintegrated. The 9/11 Commission Report completely ignored the fact that WTC7 had come down without apparent reason, never once mentioning it. So people in the 9/11 Truth (9/11T) community[1] kept bringing up the fact until the government decided it had better do something. So it performed some reality-free computer simulations producing a report of grammatically correct arbitrary assertions, obviously hoping that it being labeled "official government" would impress the little people. Well the final report turns out to be a complete fraud and utter epistemological train wreck. In his review of the Report, whistleblower Kevin Ryan points out [source: 911research.wtc7.net], among other things, that:

• The Final Report shows that NIST avoided physical testing altogether. Instead, it created a computer model that it claims supports their collapse theory, but won't even release that model for inspection by the public.
• In the new Report, NIST quietly drops the theory promoted since 2001 by the New York Times and FEMA, that diesel fuel was responsible for the collapse, and minimizes the role of purportedly extensive damage from the fallout of the North Tower.
• NIST entirely ignores the voluminous evidence of molten metal at the building's base, and steel sulfidation documented by FEMA, despite these issues having been directly raised with NIST in press conferences, and public comment periods for this and the previous report on the Twin Towers. NIST's pointmen act as if they never heard of aluminothermic incendiaries, yet some of the NIST Report authors and other supporters of the collapse theory have been on the forefront of research into advanced energetic materials based on thermite.
• NIST advances a theory that the entire "collapse" was caused by a beam disconnecting itself from its column supports through thermal expansion—a behavior that is the opposite of that exhibited by actual building fires and building fire simulations, in which severely heated beams sag downward and stay connected, rather than remaining rigid and breaking their connections.
• To support its new theory, NIST apparently resorts to fabrication, claiming—in contradiction to its earlier reports—that girders lacked shear studs and had only two seat bolts per connection.

David Ray Griffin, who has written several groundbreaking analyses of all facets of the OCT, elaborates even further on the wide range of scientific problems manifested in the latest attempt by the government to ignore evidence and bury the truth. I've reviewed several of his 9/11 works, including The New Pearl Harbor, 9/11 Report Omissions and Distortions, and Debunking 9/11 Debunking. I continue to be inspired and impressed from the absolute rigor of Griffin's language and logic, as well as the purity of his scholarship. He doesn't miss the smallest contradiction or evasion, and like a surgeon he brilliantly excises one groundless USG assertion after another, until its entire politicized edifice falls like a house of cards... or like WTC 7 from preplaced nanothermite precision-timed explosive charges.

It's a joyous read, and I guarantee you will so find it, provided you're willing to think on your own and question those in authority who want your obedience and loyalty in support of their phony war on terror... which is actually a war crime on your liberty. Griffin proceeds systematically, questioning and demolishing all key USG assertions regarding WTC7. He makes a powerful case for scientific fraud by NIST and others, and without a doubt the persons responsible for covering up the truth—or simply refusing to give standing to rational causal arguments—in so high-handed a manner deserve to do time in the prison planet they've helped create.

I want to point out two of literally dozens of compelling insights from Dr. Griffin. One concerns the simple observation that in the investigation of a crime you don't permit a suspect to run it:

When a crime has been committed, both common sense and the law dictate that persons suspected of committing the crime should not be put in charge of the investigation. The two major suspects for having committed the 9/11 crimes are Osama bin Laden, on the one hand, and members of the Bush-Cheney administration on the other. [All the USG 9/11 investigations have been led by flunkies of the leading USG-based suspect.]

The other insight is that the foundation of any causal argument cannot be "the witch doctor said so:"

Part II examines NIST's alternative theory, according to which WTC7 was brought down by ordinary building fires. I will show that it is a thoroughly unscientific theory, resting on a combination of observation-free speculation, implausible claims, fudged data, and even outright fabrications. In Chapter 10 I show that NIST, in the final version of its 2008 report, even violates one of science's most fundamental principles: Explanations must not imply that miracles have occurred.

The Mysterious Collapse of World Trade Center 7 is a modest tome brimming with gems of observation and syllogism upon syllogism. Another masterpiece of clear writing that will help us take back the republic from its sleazy, murderous usurpers. A page turner of discovery.

[1] In general, the 9/11 Truth Community consists of individuals who do not buy the OCT. The OCT: "On 9/11, 19 radical Muslim Arabs, under orders and operational control of Al Qaeda, an organization run by a former CIA employee undergoing kidney dialysis in a Pakistani cave, boarded four airplanes. Wielding boxcutters, these men hijacked the planes, then overcoming the world's most sophisticated air defense system, flew one plane into WTC 1, one into WTC 2 (WTC 7 disintegrated as an eventual causal consequence of the Twin Tower plane collisions), one into the Pentagon, and one (intended for the Capitol) into a field in western Pennsylvania."
