My Column-Article
The FLOW Fellowship
Practical spiritual transformation for everyone
by Brian Wright

From comments of my friends and a still-growing number of fans of Coffee Coaster commentary and reviews, it seems that the proprietor dwells excessively on the Horrifying Looming Threat. Like a broken record of gloom and doom. Unfortunately, that is the risk any whistleblower faces, especially a general whistleblower on ubiquitous government-cartelocracy evil—like Alex Jones. "Why can't you just be happy? Quit bringing up that a bunch of psychopaths are ruling the world and intent on putting us all in chains. You sound ungrateful." In the Coffee Coaster proprietor's case, however, I am happy to report the principles of a widespread spiritual movement of inner peace, outer peace, and abundance have been discovered... and it's but a few more months to general distribution. This column is a transcription of my FLOW Fellowship brochure, complete with several worthwhile Weblinks. [Full Column]

Imitation of Life
(1959) ___ 8/10
Eclectic and challenging movie for 1959 _ 8/10

Well, we've come a long way. Sort of. Perhaps we've tilted as a culture too far toward the other pole of vulgarity and copious sex without love, mind, or even sensuality. Candidly, I enjoy the 1950s sex-denial culture vs. our current one; it's more interesting. All the pretenses and talking around sex, the double-entendres, the oblique references to what people really want, the elaborate costumes and preening, the whole complex structure of falling in love, sexual-relationship foreplay, role playing, misogynism, faux male dominance behavior, women's ploys to 'get their man.' But what really appeals to me is the occasional genuine belief from both parties that they're actually going to find true love under society's pile of horse manure. [Full Review]

Book Review
Three Men in a Room (2006)
New York politics a microcosm of 'Borg' Central
by Seymour P. Lachman

Author Lachman served as a New York senator 1995-2004 from Brooklyn and (after redistricting) large chunks of Staten Island. As a second-generation immigrant from Poland, Mr. Lachman had risen in the ranks of the education system, eventually running the New York City School Board. He decided to run for state senate, was elected, and went to Albany the state capital. Shortly after, through conscientious hard work, he was appointed to the senate's finance committee. He describes his Day of Dawning as follows.

Soon I began to vote my own way on important issues of concern to me and to my constituents. Very shortly thereafter, I was approached by a senior member of the Democratic Party who said, "Listen, you can either support the Democratic leadership and rise to the very top, or be an independent who votes on principle, and sink to the bottom." Obamacare Court Case
Virginia's case against nationalized health care
Jim Babka, Downsize DC

If the Virginia case is not heard, AND if the mandate is ultimately upheld by the Supreme Court, must these states comply? Must YOUR state comply? The spineless politicians (allegedly) governing these states are likely to defer. However... Our brief argues that states retain the right to nullify, if all other remedies have been shut down—if the Commonwealth is given no outlet and no voice for their concerns. We hope the High Court will recognize this, and agree to include the Virginia case. In fact... The brief DC Downsizers helped fund makes this more likely. Thanks to DC Downsizers, we took a lead role in funding and filing this brief, and we also secured the inclusion of the following statement: [Full Column]
