Transcendent Liberty
A Spiritual "Conspiracy"
So I know what you're thinking, we've already seen the water go under this bridge. "Geez, Beanie Brain, give me something new, something I can take to the bank, something that gets me a job, something that gets the sundry government goonies—the IRS, the US Mint, the Goldman-Sachs cookie monsters, Homeland Insecurity, the drug-law marauders, the immigration-law thugs, the child stealers (government schoolers), ad infinauseum—out of my shorts!"
Unfortunately, the broad masses (BM)[1] seem to feel economic and personal well being are functions of having one group of government goonies in power rather than another. In any case, the BM will learn the truth soon enough.... My purpose today, however, is to see what we can do—as self-defined members of the freedom movement—to achieve some more immediate workaround (or walkaround) to the general problem of widespread legal aggression upon our communities.
Let me start by conveying an important public-domain verse,
courtesy Correspondent Dan.
A solution of consciousness...
It was unclear from the email from Dan how he came to find the below remarkable item of shared wisdom. But all of us who abide the general concern about the antihumanity of an obvious, real, ubiquitous, centralized conspiracy of power are warmed by these words:
A SPIRITUAL "CONSPIRACY"
On the surface of our world right now
There is war, violence, and craziness
And things may seem dark.
But calmly and quietly
At the same time
Something is happening underground.
An inner revolution is taking place
And certain individuals
Are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent revolution
From the inside out
From the ground up.
This is a global cooperation
That has sleeper cells in every nation.
It is a planetary Spiritual Conspiracy.
You won't likely see us on TV
You won't read about us in the newspaper.
You won't hear from us on the radio.
We don't seek glory.
We don't wear any uniform.
We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles.
We are in every country and culture of the world
In cities big and small, mountains and valleys
In farms and villages, tribes and remote islands.
Most of us work anonymously
Seeking not recognition of name
But profound transformation of life.
Working quietly behind the scenes
You could pass by one of us on the street
And not even notice.
We go undercover
Not concerned for who takes the final credit
But simply that the work gets done.
Many of us may seem to have normal jobs.
But behind the external storefront
Is where the deeper work takes a place.
With the individual and collective power
Of our minds and hearts
We spread passion, knowledge, and joy to all.
Some call us the Conscious Army
As together
We co-create a new world.
Our orders come from the Spiritual Intelligence Agency
Instructing us to drop soft, secret love bombs
when no one is looking.

We each express ourselves
In our own unique ways
With our own unique gifts and talents.
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
That is the motto that fills our hearts.
We know this is the path to profound transformation.
We know that quietly and humbly
Individually and collectively
We have the power of all the oceans combined.
At first glance our work is not even visible.
It is slow and meticulous
Like the formation of mountains.
And yet with our combined efforts
Entire tectonic plates
Are being shaped and moved for centuries to come.
Love is the religion we come to share
And you don't need to be highly educated
Or have exceptional knowledge to understand it.
Love arises from the intelligence of the heart
Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse
Of all living beings.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Nobody else can do it for you.
Yet don't forget, we are all here supporting you.
We are now recruiting.
Perhaps you will join us
Or already have.
For in this spiritual conspiracy
All are welcome, and all are loved.
The door is always open.
Author (appropriately) unknown. Time to join the conspiracy I should say. Watching the water:
Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) and Eckhart Tolle
Many people—probably most of them guys—in the freedom cause will look at the above sentimental outpouring and claim, "Kind of mushy, guy, how's all that going to put food on the table, enable my family to get by?"
And, candidly, not too many years ago I would have been right there grabbing another beer and disdaining any such touchie-feelie-isms as hopelessly weak and limp-wristed in the grand scheme of the hard-thinking, hard-working manly-man cosmos.
Well, a lot of water has gone under the bridge, and lately I've got into the habit of considering the obvious before making any rash judgments... about plans or people: Have you ever noticed the power of water? We can think of it symbolically, but fundamentally, water, especially flowing water, can move mountains, not to mention put out fires. My point is that often what we regard as routine or lacking force—looking at the verse above: peace, love, respect, pursuit of the truth—contains "the answer."
More specifically, in my own case, a year or two ago, I began to read Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. [I know, I know, is he ever going to shut up about that damned
book?] And then I've seen how the Sacred Nonaggression Principle is so thoroughly consistent with the vision of consciousness he articulates. Recently—again due to information from Correspondent/Idea-Scout Dan—I discovered Falun Dafa, which is a 'cultivation practice' entirely consistent with the nonaggression principle of the freedom movement.[3]
The three axioms of Falun Dafa are: Truth, Compassion, Tolerance. It originated in China and was passed to succeeding generations, one designated disciple per generation, via oral tradition.
In the early 1990s Mr. Li Hongzhi, one such disciple, produced a series of lectures, which became very popular. Falun Dafa is an enhanced form of traditional qigong—a Chinese meditative practice which uses slow graceful movements and sometimes breathing techniques to promote health.
Yet Falun Dafa is distinguished by having a definite "metaphysics"... that seems to encourage protest against injustice and cruelty. Largely because of practitioners' silent protests against beatings, arrests, and torture, the China's government embarked on an eradication campaign in 1999. Today, the persecution of Falun Dafa is probably the largest ongoing "religious" purge in the world.
In keeping with my new policy of staying brief(er), I won't spend any more time today elaborating on Tolle or the principles of the Falun. I shall do so soon enough... because I have joined a Falun Dafa group locally and am learning the practice. I am so excited by the prospect of finding a rather specific methodology for realizing what Tolle describes as a key measure of being: "feeling an immense oneness with the universe." Or at least, achieving a modest consistency with reality in one's own life.
Moreover,
as a freedom person for some time now (and perhaps not having so much success, yet, in countering these awe-inspiring War-of-the-Worlds alien weapons arrayed against our natural humanity), I'm thrilled to be part of something so manifestly powerful—like water—that solves once and for all the Big Universal Problem... potentially slaking our thirst for liberty at last.
In the words of my engineering friends, "Water always wins."

[1] Not being overly judgmental, but I believe in America there's a one-to-one relationship between the BM and the set defined as those who actually believe that (any branch of) the major media[2] conveys truthful news and opinion.
[2] For purposes of discussion the major media for America are ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, all the major metropolitan daily newspapers that remain functional, and a handful of big-city AM radio.
[3] Practitioners of Falun Dafa have been systematically persecuted— imprisoned, tortured, killed, and expelled—by the Chinese government. It is a story that rivals Chinese human rights violations in Tibet. But has anyone heard anything from the US State Department? Yo, Hillary!
