Thoughts on the 10th anniversary of the
worldchanging criminal terror operation, 9/11/01

Today, on the 10th anniversary, we Americans remember not only our countrymen who suffered and perished as a direct consequence of the criminal terror operation (CTO) of that 11th day of September 2001 (9/11)... we also mourn the suffering and loss of millions of victims worldwide created by the wars, war crimes, and military occupations that 9/11 was used to sanction.
Personally, I extend a somber, heartfelt gesture of condolence and sympathy to all the victims. I also send a note of gratitude and thanks to the tens of thousands of scholars, scientists, educators, firefighters, pilots, parents, and citizen investigators/researchers worldwide who, by finding the truth, will bring those who planned, orchestrated, and facilitated the 9/11 CTO to justice. This column is an open letter to my 'legacy technicals' (LTs)—mostly those I have known and continue to know as a consequence being an engineer in the 1970s and 1980s in SE Michigan—requesting that they support, with funds or participation, honest and open investigation of what and who caused the 9/11 CTO and their prosecution.
Today on this 10th Anniversary of the criminal terror operation of 9/11/2001 (9/11) I want to reach out to my circle of friends and acquaintances—especially those I have known and continue to associate with from my years as an engineer in the aerospace business—with a special, brief appeal:
Some of you know that I'm a 9/11 skeptic. That is, I've grown increasingly skeptical of the 9/11 'official story'[2] since approximately 2005, when I came across a VHS video tape "In Plane Site." That video, clearly assembled on a shoestring budget, nonetheless powerfully presented several facts that contradicted the official story, facts for which I could not find answers in the conventional apologia. The main fact, per the video title, was that no evidence existed that a Boeing 757 (Flight 77) flew into the Pentagon. It simply did not exist. Moreover, the evidence we did have fully contradicted the assertion that Fight 77/Boeing 757 intersected the Pentagon.
As much as I wanted to continue to believe the official story of Flight 77, Flight 93 that crashed, and the two other aircraft that brought down three buildings, and that a pack of mysterious, murderous radical-Muslim Arabs was behind the whole 9/11 CTO, I could not
ignore the increasingly massive evidence/lack-of-evidence[3] against/for the official story. So I read widely and wrote several columns and book reviews, expressing my opinions and conclusions on various facets of the 9/11 CTO. I also joined Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth.org) as a signatory calling for an impartial citizens' investigation of the attacks.
The 9/11 Truth Movement has now reached a threshold of awareness that promises real progress in getting to the source of the 9/11 CTO. The salient of the truth movement now is the clear video and physical evidence of how World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC7) was destroyed. [Building 7 was not struck by an airplane, and disintegrated in what looks like a pure controlled demolition at 5:21 p.m. on 9/11/01. The Zelikow Commission (9/11 Commission) Report does not mention Building 7. The government via the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), after several years, finally produced a report claiming office fires led to the destruction of WTC7.]
What I want to do in this letter is introduce two videos pertinent to the WTC7 cascading disintegration. The video on the left has been recently released courtesy AE911Truth.org; it gives the bigger picture of what we know about WTC7's demise with the overwhelming evidence of controlled demolition. The video on the left is what I have always regarded as the smoking gun video: Larry Silverstein, the leaseholder of the World Trade Center, in a PBS interview, declares that, with respect to WTC7, he made the decision to 'pull it,' slang for initiating demolition of a building.

Especially, after watching the short statement of Silverstein, I'm reminded of that fabulous Peter Sellers movie, A Shot in the Dark, also starring Elke Sommer. There have been a series of murders, and in each one, the beautiful Maria Gambrelli (Sommer) has been caught with the weapon in her hand next to the corpse. Inspector Clouseau (Sellers) nonetheless insists unto the end that she cannot be the killer. His denial is analogous to people's insistence that despite the fact the government has always lied before, this time it has to be telling the truth.
That's about all I have to say, except I want
to pose one technical question for my engineering friends, a question I have already vetted with a small cross-section of technical professionals:
If a steel frame building [WTC 7 had 24 steel columns extending its entire 47-story height (with 57 perimeter columns)] falls at the acceleration of gravity (free fall 32.2 fps/s) symmetrically onto its own footprint as a pile of rubble in which the structural steel debris consists of 30-foot-length sections [based on video before the steel was carted away and destroyed], then is there any mechanism or cause that does not require (precision) use of explosives?
Please seriously think about this question. If you conclude, as I do, that a free-fall—WTC7's rate of descent has been measured precisely, and that rate is the acceleration of gravity—symmetrical disintegration of a high-rise steel-frame building indicates controlled explosive demolition, then please join me at Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. The government denies that the buildings were demolished by intent, simply ignoring the circumstantial and physical evidence pointing to any logical suspects besides '19 suicidal Arabs' [half of whom by the way are alive and well... ]
There is nothing more important, or more difficult, as an American citizen than insisting our public servants tell the truth and protect our rights. On this tenth anniversary, please join me in pursuing the truth of 9/11.

[2] The official story: 19 radical Arabs commandeered four aircraft and flew them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon--or in one case were diverted into rural Pennsylvania dirt--thus causing the destruction of WTC 1, WTC 2, and WTC 7 (which was not struck by an airplane).
[3] Speaking of evidence, government officials—in particular the Office of the Mayor of NY City (Rudolph Giuliani)—are responsible for wholesale destruction (under armed guard) of the World Trade Center structural steel. Officials have also withheld evidence, obscured evidence, and falsified evidence on an unprecedented scale. No one has yet been arrested for this crime.
