Sovereignty and Severance
Asserting freedom of choice in social services

In light of the out-of-control, viciously coercive government in America, with that government at all levels now crossing the threshold into a complete Police-Military State, we need to establish some groundrules going forward. By going forward I mean getting the paperwork straight for abolishing this coercive US government (USG) and starting over. As Jefferson wrote, "Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of [freedom], it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it..." and, for each individual to hire a better government—a cooperative, voluntary one—of his own choosing. Thus, we have two steps that I recommend for individuals en masse: 1) declare we're in charge, and 2) send this awful, arrogant USG packing. The following is a work in progress, pls help w/ comment to blog.
1: Statement of Individual Sovereignty
As a mature human person of sound mind, I, <insert name>,
do hereby state and assert my natural condition of self-ownership and full, universal freedom. freedom from the initiation of force of others, especially freedom from the initiation of force by any coercive government.
That is: I claim all my natural rights all the time—where 'right' is a moral concept sanctioning freedom of action in a social context—to live as I choose, neither aggressing on others nor tolerating aggression of others on me, in wholly voluntary relationships with those whom I choose.
These self-evident natural rights, which apply to every human person, include but are not limited to:
earn a living
travel
associate with others
express ideas
peaceably assemble and demonstrate
keep and bear arms
... any other action that is nonaggressive and consensual.
Thus as a human individual person, I have self-sovereignty. I am my own ruling authority. No coercive agency of government, nor any statute or law emanating from coercive government that violates my sovereignty or presumption of political freedom—whether or not such statutes or laws are enacted through representatives chosen by masses of others—shall have authority over me, a sovereign individual. Nor do I concede or grant any special exemption to coercive government to wield such authority.
My natural rights include the freedom to choose whether to contract, or not, with any agency, company, or person for all social services I desire.
Accordingly, I claim the moral justification and prerogative—the “right”—to voluntarily join, or not, with other human persons peacefully to cooperate for any of these social services... which may include security, protection, and adjudication services typically provided in most of our lives by compulsory government.
The presumption of freedom entails that a government obtain its just powers solely from the consent of the governed. In the absence of an individual's freely given consent, a government has no authority over an individual. In a relationship between a coercive government and an individual, consent by the individual to the government's authority-in the absence of a written agreement signed without duress by the individual-must be assumed not to have been freely given. Therefore, no valid contract exists, or has ever existed, between a coercive government and an individual, particularly concerning the individual's payment for services or obedience to coercive government measures.
[We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.] TJ
When an individual-through ignorance or a reluctance to deny the authority of a coercive government-has long yielded to that government's rules and power, it is desirable that the individual publicly declare whether he explicitly consents to or explicitly does not consent to that government's authority. Even if the individual has made no arrangements for services of a noncoercive governing alternative, it is desirable that he publicly declare and record his statement of severance of the coercive government. out of simple courtesy, and to help prevent the coercive government from assuming it may rightly or legally continue to aggress upon him as before.
Whether or not an individual publicly declares his independence from a coercive government and whether or not an individual separating from a coercive government has made alternative arrangements with another government, the coercive government may not initiate force upon the individual to compel performance of any specific act of a contract. No valid contract exists between an individual and any agency of coercion, especially government. Indeed, the natural moral law of nonaggression requires that no body of human beings -governmental or private-may coerce other human beings.
2: Affidavit of Severance
Although the United States Constitution was a substantial achievement in limiting government aggression on individuals, thru the decades US federal government aggression has grown to catastrophic levels. The current government of the United States has reached a threshold of coercion that requires action: it has abrogated the Constitution through undeclared wars, mass detentions, mass torture and murder of civilians, assumption of dictatorial powers in all areas of production and trade, confiscation of wealth, invasion of privacy, conduct of secret programs for torture and/or murder of individuals, destruction of nature, and massive wealth transfer from productive persons to a privileged oligarchy of financial interests.
Because of the extended unconstitutional behavior of the United States Government (USG) a state of tyranny now exists. We must acknowledge that the USG, in its capacity as a coercive agency, has no contractual authority over us, and never did. We hereby sever all allegiance, obedience, and payment to the USG and insist that it cease and desist from any coercive actions toward individuals. Egregious violations of the nonaggression principle by any government official or persons hired by coercive government are subject to prosecution by the people as petit treason.
[I've simply filled in from my Independence column tonight (10/30/11), and near term I'll reconstruct to show some verbiage appropriate to handling the disconnection formally from the USG and subs. We need something that will stand up in court, meaning there's no longer any point to trying to get on their good side, so we simply have to fire the USG in a morally righteous fashion, based on our strong philosophical and spiritual convictions: then stand up and refuse to accept USG authority.]
