Movie Review: Sacrificing Liberty: The day the world was six minutes from WW3

Review: Matt Skow’s TruHistory Films’ four-part docuseries on the USS Liberty
by Brian R. Wright, 8.5×11-inch PDF version of review located here

One is at a loss for superlatives in reviewing this stellar work, Sacrificing Liberty. First, it’s a state of the art, full audiovisual-impact documentary, finely honed by one director-editor-cinematographer-archival-artistic-retrievalist Matthew Skow under auspices of the TruNews Christian media network with the utmost care for the men of the USS Liberty—whether surviving, injured (174), or killed (34)—out of a crew of 294.

In case you missed it, the Liberty was the American state-of-the-art communications ship in the middle of the so-called Six-Day War that Israel strafed and torpedoed in International Waters. The day, June 8, 1967, when Israel effectively declared war on the United States—it should have lived in infamy—was passed over in deafening silence by most Americans thanks to the official story that the Jewish State MISTOOK the Liberty—despite American flags flying on a clear day and large bold-white insignia on the bow [and Israel’s own flying-boxcar airplanes’ protracted surveillance]—for a much smaller WWI Egyptian horse-ferrying vessel.

Several books and videos have been produced—starting with Jim Ennes’s book, Assault on the Liberty—showing beyond any reasonable doubt that the attack was anything but accidental… and in fact was a combined covert hare-brained project risking nuclear war with the Russians concocted by a treasonous president (LBJ), key members of his Zionist[1]-dominated administration, top US military officials, and the Israeli military. This author has written reviews of or composed the following works:

All of the above, and others demolishing the official story, are worthwhile and deeply moving, and serve to show just how transcendent and comprehensive a production Sacrificing Liberty is. SL in effect puts together all the wonderful exposes and tributes into a comprehensive narrative that will become, one hopes, a rallying journalistic coup d’etat for American patriots.[2]

The coverup of the truth behind the USS Liberty attacks was heavy-handedly thorough from the start. Crew were warned, actually threatened, in person by Admiral Kidd that they were not to talk to one another, to their families, and especially to the media—or they would face imprisonment “or worse.” Meaning death. Survivors were sent to separate assignments for the rest of their naval service. Continue reading

Screenplay Review: Enemies Within (2019)

When Israel Declared War on the United States of America
By Clint Burnette, Reviewed by Brian R. Wright

This is a book I actually had a hand in bringing to publication initially via the Amazon independent-publishing print-on-demand and Kindle preparation facilities (was Createspace, now = Kindle Direct Publishing). The book posted on Amazon on this link is actually a screenplay, by Clint Burnette, documenting the all-out, war-crime attack on the United States Navy intelligence ship, the USS Liberty, by all three branches of the Israeli military on June 8, 1967, and its subsequent coverup by top corrupt Israeli and United States officials… with wholesale disrespect of the ship’s officers and crew, their families, and friends of American liberty, justice, and truth, worldwide.

The intent of publishing Enemies Within for general reading audiences is to generate wide support, readership, and enthusiasm among the general public for word of mouth referral to a special filmmaker(s) of excellence and courage wishing to step up and DO the movie that wants to set sail from its pages. [Disclaimer: It shouldn’t be necessary to state this, but Enemies Within is not anti-Jewish anymore than opponents of those corrupting the US government are anti-American. It is the STATE of Israel and its corrupt personnel and accomplices who must be held accountable for the assault on the Liberty.]

My review consists of 1) the context and description of the Liberty incident and its coverup (appearing on the back cover) followed by 2) the initial review of Enemies Within posted on Amazon by Hiram Chance.

Enemies Within: Context and Description

On June 8th, 2019, patriotic Americans will mark the 52nd anniversary of a day of infamy for our naval forces and for our country. The harsh realities of that day will never leave the crew, and can only be assuaged by service to and victory of truth and justice.

For on that day in 1967, during the Six-Day War, the Israeli military launched a deliberate, unprovoked, full-scale attack against the defenseless American Naval intelligence ship USS Liberty—with unmarked jet fighters, followed by Israeli Navy torpedo boats and Israeli Army boarding helicopters with commandos. The US ship was steaming in international waters on a cloudless day with flags unfurled and other identifying features fully visible. Continue reading

Guest Column: Treason En Masse?

To Senator Stabenow: “End US Support for the Apartheid-Terror State of Israel”
By Chris Mark

Editor’s Note: This email conversation and Chris’s culminating letter to our Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow stem from our separate contact to the Senator expressing grave concerns over the recently (February 2019) passed S1 “Bill of Rights Evisceration for a Foreign State” Act. We received the same reply from her office via email, which I’ll list first. Then I’ll display Chris’s response to her, which I regard as a model of economy and passion in defense of our First Principles against the WORLD’S most monstrous, long-standing singular ENEMY: Israel.

Senator Stabenow’s Letter
[You tell me: Is her support of Israel over our Constitution, by definition, treason?]

Dear Chris,

Thank you for contacting me about the Combating Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) Act, which was included in the Strengthening America’s Security in the Middle East Act (S.1). I appreciate you taking the time to make me aware of your views.

I supported S.1 because it includes legislation to maintain our security partnerships with Jordan and Israel and keeps critical sanctions on officials in Syria that are involved in the slaughter of innocent civilians.

The Combating BDS Act authorizes states to enact laws related to anti-boycott activity. In Michigan, former Governor Snyder signed two anti-BDS bills into law last year, just before the end of his term. I do not oppose an individual’s right to boycott, and I understand your concerns about these types of legislation.

The Strengthening America’s Security in the Middle East Act passed the Senate on February 5, 2019; it now awaits action by the House of Representatives. I will keep your views in mind as this bill moves through the legislative process.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please continue to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your family.

Sincerely,
Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator

Chris Mark’s Extraordinary Letter in Reply
[Everyone lunch off this and send to the 77 Senate traitors bequeathing to us S1]

Dear Ms. Stabenow,

I contacted you (via email, vm & phone to your clerk) and told you to vote against S.1 because it is unconstitutional and the ensuing court battle would waste millions of taxpayer dollars. You ignored me. Further, I told you to follow Bernie Sanders’ lead on this issue. You ignored me. Continue reading

Typical Review of Enemies Within

“I’ve just read Enemies Within and am ready to read it again. It seems the more I read the more I want to know. I’ve been following the USS Liberty for approximately 24 years and never imagined I’d be reading something as chilling and riveting as this! So realistic that I was in tears, and actually felt as if I were there, terrified and slammed into a wall. I did not want this to end. I want more. I want to read more, know more and see more in FILM! A blockbuster film! Almost forgot to mention that my partner Wayne Kyle was aboard the USS America and witnessed some of the after effects of that incident.” — Rose Marie Higgins

What We Can Do to Help Turn this Screenplay into a Movie

We want to bring the screenplay to the attention of a film making team of excellence and courage in the face of hostile opposition who desperately want it squashed. So: Continue reading

USS Liberty: Why Another Inquiry
Joe Meadors / October 10, 2017

[This is an updated version of an article that originally appeared in the USS Liberty Inquiry website]

The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional as to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were Treated and Appreciated by their Nation. – George Washington

Why put together a Court of Inquiry into something that happened more than fifty years ago? Why try to reopen something that was settled by the government more than five decades ago? Isn’t this just ancient history?

In fact, there have been no inquiries into the culpability for the Israeli attack. This isn’t a matter of conducting another inquiry, but rather conducting what would be the first inquiry ever made into the question of who was responsible for the attack on USS Liberty, and why?

There are many practical reasons for undertaking a complete examination of the Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty, but there is one reason that stands out above all: Justice. Continue reading

Book Review: Erasing the Liberty (2016)

My battle to keep alive the memory of Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty
By Phillip F. Tourney
Reviewed by Brian R. Wright

Erasing the Liberty is the third book I’ve read since firing myself up to support these men of the Liberty and their families seeking truth and justice all these years. The other two books are Attack on the Liberty (2009) by James Scott and Assault on the Liberty (1979) from surviving injured crew member James Ennes, Jr. I’m beginning to see that each of the books has unique strengths.

I met the author, injured survivor Phillip Tourney and his coauthor-editor, Dave Gahary, at the USS Liberty 50th Anniversary Reunion, June 8-10, 2017, Norfolk, Virginia. The authors have arranged the information in compact, highly readable units, and the latest revision is readily navigable to thumb thru and find related events to those you are reading.

What Erasing the Liberty provides that the other two books do not, or not to the same degree, is a deck-level, sailor’s view from start to finish of the attacks. Tourney, as petty officer, took a leadership role in damage control and personally wound up at the center of several of the major incidents during the action. He was directly aware of: Continue reading

Guest Column: The Israel Lobby

Time for a second edition
By Paul Craig Roberts [full original column here]

A decade ago in 2007 John J. Mearsheimer, the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science and codirector of the Program on International Security Policy at the University of Chicago, and Stephen M. Walt, the Robert and Renee Belfer Professor of International Affairs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and Academic Dean of the Kennedy School from 2002-2006, published The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy. The publisher was the prestigious publishing house, Farrar, Straus and Giroux. The authors made a convincing case that Israel operating through its American lobbies, which are not registered as foreign agents, succeeds in using US foreign policy in Israel’s interests. The authors conclude that the use of US foreign policy in Israel’s interests is damaging to both America’s national interests and to Israel’s long-term security.

Many were pleased that two distinguished experts had breached a taboo issue. But the Israel Lobby was not among them. Instantly, the authors and the book were denounced as anti-semitic. The demonstration that Israel had influence was misrepresented as the claim that Israel controlled the US government. The authors were denounced for their “extremism” which some alleged could result in a new holocaust.

Other critics took a different approach and claimed that there was no difference between Israeli and US interests and that anything that served Israel also served America. Some evangelicals added: “and also serves God.” Continue reading
