From chapter ‘Curtain 1: Golden Rules’

[Excerpt from The Truman Prophecy,
due for publication 12/25/15.]

The three of them set up the second Monday in December, once more at the Indie Coffee Shop.

Chance noted, “How fitting that the name of this place matches a shortening of the name of our life form dawning: Independent?”

“I like the abbreviation ‘the I’s,’ better,” said Sean.

“The I’s have it… 🙂 ,” chided Katie.

“Good stuff,” remarked Chance. “We’re already going straight to the core of the Big Picture I’ve been striving for, and what I wanted to discuss today…

“… namely, my novel and all my related work presents the central idea of ‘the Independent’ as a new being rising from the ashes of the Collective, declaring its presence and withdrawing it from the old life form.”

“And by doing so, ending it [the old form],” furthered Katie. “Until now our liberty colleagues been more or less beating around the bush… so many grappling with the strings and chains… rather simply than casting them under foot and walking to the light.”

“What I hope the Prophecy helps our brave ones to see,” Chance goes on, “is we the I’s merely need to deny consent to they the We’s… whose tyranny is decidedly destructive of our ends. Per Jefferson…

Sean: “… it is our right ‘to alter or to abolish it…’”

Katie: “… and institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to [us] shall seem most likely to effect [our] Safety and Happiness.’”

Chance: “To the point, yes. On the ground, we are embarked then on building our Independents’ alternative foundations and forms—based on the nonaggression principle. But it’s a more a change of consciousness this time around.

“It’s a full realization, dawning of awareness, that we the human Independents are now a self-conscious life form of our own, who have been attacked by AN ALIEN ENTITY (spawning a collectivist society) which thru deception attempts to draw humanity into a singular Group Consciousness… of course, directed by the Entity.

Katie: “Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.”

Sean: “Or The Matrix.”

Chance: “Both movies are apt analogies for many reasons. In reality, nothing is so cut and dried. In the former film, when the person falls asleep, the alien pod completely absorbs the person. And that’s it. Conversion complete.

“In real life, most of the people we know are slowly brainwashed and conditioned over decades, and, yes, vast numbers completely succumb to the ‘Consensus Reality,’ as Jon Rappoport calls it. [Those with lower consciousness are not aware of a choice: they just pull the levers that ‘The Tube’ tells them will satisfy the urges that ‘The Tube’ tells them they have.]

“Among those who do succumb, gradations exist:

• “Some, like a few former engineering colleagues, are fully aware—reference to The Matrix—that they’re taking the Blue Pill (you get all these goodies if you do as we tell you and don’t ask questions). But they’ve done the numbers, and choose to kneel for the easier life rather than stand to face isolation and hardship.
• “Others don’t see the controlling Entity as bona fide. Especially in America, the land of the free. They believe our institutional icons—New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, Yale, Harvard, Congress, President and Supremes, CIA and FBI, Armed Forces, Police, CDC, AMA, Hollywood, NFL, Mainstream Anchors, etc.—touch God. On our side. Free of control. Fly the Flag.
• “Still others realize the threat posed by the Entity—particularly the mind control and mind destruction—and how corrupt and morally dead our whole country has become from it. But they don’t see a way out. Or they’re drawn into an ineffective ‘comfortable illusion’ of how to battle the evil. For example, say, the Libertarian Party.

“And of course many do not succumb at all.”

“Here here!” said Katie.

“Listen, I know this is boring stuff,” remarked Chance, “but we have to touch all the bases to make the home run count. The Independents, by fulfilling the Prophecy, will come to know it second nature.”

“Not boring to us, Chance,” Sean said.

“Thanks, as I say, the majority of Independents will not need to know this level of detail.”

“But leaders in the Fulfillment will?” asked Katie.

“Yes,” replied Chance. “But only to facilitate the awakening among the partially succumbed. It’s not like in the movies; many of our peers who fall prey to the Alien Collective can be restored to full Independence.

“But we have to realize that a large number of ‘pod people’ have been created, and that as such they are manifestations of the hostile life form. They are NOT us. In fact, they will viscerally regard full Independents as the enemy—which is like the movies.

“It’s important that we see and feel ourselves as Independents, and thus fully human… and the Others as antihuman, wanting to destroy us—until and unless we turn them.”

“Do you have some numbers in mind,” asked Katie.

“Yes, when I was composing the Toto Prospectus, I did some estimates based on my 9/11 Truth milieu. These are for America as of this five minutes of geologic time:

• “10 million—Truthers: have figured out the truth and are committed to its distribution. Corresponding to the existing body of American Independents.
• “50 million—Respected Deniers: persons of substance or stature who can be reached by the truth. Corresponding to those who can be ‘readily’ restored to Independent human status from the clutches of the Alien Collective.
• “140 million—Everyone else: ballast, not interested in the truth, lookaways, followers, don’t bother me’s. Corresponding to those who will do nothing toward becoming Independent until peer pressure brings them to it.

“The total of 200 million comes from the population of Americans between the ages of 18 and 65 based on current census data.

“Our integrating purpose that embraces the Prophecy is fully human life, rise of the Independents. And the corresponding end of modern global collectivism. All the elements of the Prophecy support this ultimate end.”

Sean replied, “So that’s the Big Picture, how we motivate ourselves and our prospects to fulfill the Prophecy and its aftermath.”

“Yes, and that’s I’m anticipating (via my novel) will be launched BIG during the months ahead with projects Toto and Dorothy (grand juries and Snowden-Manning) leading to the seminal Declaration of Independents, 11/8/16.”

“Anything else for the toolbox?” asked Katie.

Chance replied, “Only this: Our leaders need to be aware of how modern media, especially television, have changed the nature of consciousness. In his 1985 book, Amusing Ourselves To Death, Neil Postman writes:

“To say it, then, as plainly as I can, this book is an inquiry into and a lamentation about the most significant American cultural fact of the second half of the twentieth century: the decline of the Age of Typography [communication of concepts (fact-thought)] and the ascendancy of the Age of Television [communication of percepts (image-feeling)]. This change-over has dramatically and irreversibly shifted the content and meaning of political discourse, since two media so vastly different cannot accommodate the same ideas. As the influence of print wanes, the content of politics, religion, education, and anything else that comprises public business must change and be recast in terms that are most suitable to television.”

“To flesh out Postman’s lament, I came across this watershed quote from Marshall McLuhan describing the dire consequences to the human psychological life form… dire because no one afflicted has the slightest idea his humanity, his ‘Independent’ quality, is being extracted.

“The new media are not ways of relating us to the old world; they are the real world and they reshape what remains of the old world at will… In television, images are projected at you. You are the screen. The images wrap around you. You are the vanishing point… The whole tendency of modern communication… is towards participation in a process, rather than apprehension of concepts.” [emphasis mine]

“Thus, what we are doing with the rise of the Independents, is audacious and species-changing. We are proposing no less than the reversal of the tendency TV has bequeathed to us—and one might say, handed to Collective Consciousness on an (HD) silver platter….
