About Brian Wright

Hello, I'm Brian Wright, the proprietor and chief content provider to this Web opinion and review site. The Coffee Coaster (thecoffeecoaster.com) has been around since late 2006, and in early 2012 I finally decided to give the site a major makeover with this Wordpress implementation. My views are 'wholistic libertarian,' meaning focused on the spiritual--I like to use the word: essentual--evolution we will need, individually, in order to reach the New Paradigm of peace, freedom, and abundance. Let's help one another in the process.

Guest Column: Dump Trump… and Hillary, Too

There is a viable third choice, and it is on the ballot in every one of the 50 States
by Thomas Greco [excerpted from Beyond Money column here]

end_of_money…The US has been on the road to fascism for a long time. Both Democrats and Republicans have for decades been advancing the same agenda of ceding power to transnational mega-corporations and the global banking cartel. So called “free trade” agreements are simply ways of allowing capital to more freely exploit labor and the environment and forcing governments to guarantee their profits.

Changes in financial regulations, like the repeal of Glass-Steagall under Bill Clinton in 1999, have enabled banking companies to grow to monstrous size (“too big to fail”) and to more easily cheat the clients they are supposed to serve. In this article, James Rickards places the blame for the 2008 financial crisis squarely where it belongs and demolishes the arguments of the big bank apologists: http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/economic-intelligence/2012/08/27/repeal-of-glass-steagall-caused-the-financial-crisis.

Many countries are caught in the debt trap and are being forced to sell off government owned assets which further concentrates wealth and control of “the commons.” Those who control the creation and allocation of money are able to control politics, economics and virtually everything else. Brian’s Column: More Thoughts on Election 2016

It came to a head for me with the 1st Trump-Hillary debate…

T_B_Emblem_2

A Secular Trumanist Perspective

… to which I posted this commentary on Facebook, and also here as my 9/25/16 column. Essentially, a pox on everyone’s house, but you gotta go with Johnson-Weld because  Trump and Hillary will equally bad for civil liberties and peace .AND. Johnson-Weld actually have a chance to win (whereas none of the other ‘minor’ candidates does).

Then I posted this to Facebook and sent via email blind cc to my political distribution lists:

We interrupt this year’s presidential election with an important announcement. As shown in debate Donald Trump supports ‘stop and frisk’ and denying your gun rights if you are on a federal no-fly list. He also believes, as does Hillary, that we must intervene by supporting ISIS in Syria to stop ISIS, to destroy innocent lives and very likely initiate World War III. Clinton wants to bring whistleblower Ed Snowden to trial, while Trump wants (“wouldn’t mind”) to see him executed as a traitor.

Both candidates are pro Big Government and anti human liberty… and epitomes of establishment corruption and criminality. They cannot even spell the Bill of Rights, and certainly not the nonaggression principle. Either candidate, as president, will very likely destroy the final vestiges of America as a constitutional republic.

Gary Johnson and William Weld are not fiery, principled libertarians, rather successful, practical politicians with a small government agenda. They are neither corrupt nor dishonest. They will seek to expand the range of action, without government interference, for people as individuals and start to roll back the Leviathan state in several key areas. I emphatically endorse the Johnson-Weld ticket, will vote for them, and hope you will, too. Continue reading

Movie Review: Follow the Fleet (1936)

Classic with a monster Fred and Ginger song-and-dance hit at the end (8/10)

follow_the_fleetReaders of my movie reviews realize occasionally I like to dig back into the vault of golden memories, even before I was born, to check out the classics.  Follow the Fleet is one such classic that you may have a hard time finding at your local video store, but NetFlix carries the DVD complete with some fascinating special features.

Fleet was released in 1936 during the middle of the depression when people were having a tough time worldwide finding jobs or even finding food to put on the table.  In Europe Hitler was on the rise, along with other nationalist/socialist whackjobs.  In the United States seeds of the Cartel sown with the Federal Reserve Act and subterfuges surrounding the income tax amendment (16) were beginning to bear fruit for connected finance capitalists and their dominating secret societies.

For the average guy and girl, times were tough.  Enter Hollywood with at least some hopeful images—I don’t think we can properly call them propaganda at this point, even though this particular movie revolves around war-preparatory naval exercises.  The real issue for boys and girls then, as now, was how to hook up with the right one, lead a decent life, have wonderful children, with a modicum of grace and elegance.

The odds were long. Continue reading

Guest Column: Michigan’s Big Brother Helper Arlan Meekhof

Meekhof Emboldens Orwellian Surveillance State in Michigan
By Shane Trejo [Original column here in West Michigan Politics]

meekhofThe Michigan Republican establishment has been desperately trying to improve their public relations in lieu of a recent Hillaryesque streak of crushing scandals.

From the Todd and Cindy’s sexcapades to the rape of Democracy by changing the ballot rules in the middle of the process to the immense environmental calamity in Flint, the establishment is truly giving the Democrats a run for their money.

However, a chance for redemption recently emerged. A YUUUGE no-brainer was sitting the legislature and gave Republicans the perfect opportunity to save face. A binding resolution  was proposed last year by Rep. Jim Runestad (R-White Lake) that would have put the question on the ballot in November allowing voters to approve common sense language in the state Constitution that would give explicit privacy protections for electronic data and communications.

If HJRN was approved, voters could have amended the state Constitution to read as follows: Continue reading

Brian’s Column: First Trump vs. Hillary Debate 2016

What’s missing from ALL the prez candidates is grasp/assertion of simple truths…

… and/or willingness to stand up for them

gary_johnson_debateWatching the first TV debate between Trump and Hillary. Both candidates are wholly buying the false terror narrative and not a word is being uttered on behalf of the fact that ‘we’—what I’ll rather whimsically, but nonetheless accurately, refer to as the Transnational Zionist-Neoconservative Alliance (TZA)—have created and support ISIS. Trump is a disaster on civil liberties, supporting NYC’s ‘stop and frisk,’ not even discussing the phenomenon of corrupt cops decimating the ‘underclass,’ mainly blacks and Hispanics, in the urban environment… not that that fact is what is causing the several riots, which are contrived responses, as well, for the chaos agenda of the elites.

Actually, on that score you have to give the edge to Hillary who does not support ‘stop and frisk’ and at least acknowledges the wholesale corruption and menace of major city police departments across the country… or at least doesn’t strongly deny the phenomenon. Both of them want to disarm anyone on a no-fly list, which at least Trump throws out a crumb, that the (vast numbers of) people who are on the list in error should be able to prove that they are there wrongly.

Trump even conceded that Obama was born in the United States, after he says he made Obama produce an “authentic birth certificate.” [Pardon me, I don’t think an authentic Hawaiian birth certificate has yet been made public, because I do not think one exists.] Of course, Hillary puppets all the false-flag ‘alleged terrorist’ incidents, using them as a pretense for more power to send to Washington to further destroy our rights. On that score Trump weakly chimes in with slightly different tacks, but conceding as ALL the candidates do, the false-flag TZA state terror and war agenda. Continue reading

Book Review: The Occult Technology of Power (1974/2016)

The initiation of the son of a finance capitalist …
by “The Transcriber”
Reviewed by Brian R. Wright

Reissued, republished September 2016, 76 pages

occult… by Underworld Amusments, LLC, edited and designed by Kevin I. Slaughter. Kevin approached me for consent to use my review, to which I replied, “of course.” The new OTP is a stunning artistic reinvention doing more than justice to the original. The only additional comment I would insert in my review has to do with keeping up with the Joneses in the metaconspiracy literature. My judgment is that OTP latched onto the Rockefellers (in league with the Angloimperialists of the 19th centrury) as the template of maximum sleaze when it comes to world domination, with nary a peep on the longer-standing Rothschild dynasty or the rise of Zionism in the early 20th century.

Further, I hear from the Transcriber from time to time, and I find him dismissive of virtually all the modern integrated truth movements, from 9/11 to toxic geoengineering… or any argument that puts the Israeli deep state toward the center of the global imperial architecture.

Nonetheless, his book remains a classic by virtue of being one of the first to describe the the key qualities and processes that the ‘Men of the Power Sickness‘ have always used to rule the masses by systematic deception.  And it’s a great read! Especially good to hand to others who are conventionally minded about what moves the world.

Initial review: October 31, 2014

1974, Alpine Enterprises, 52 pages

OccultThe Occult Technology of Power (OTP) is one of those sleeper-cell books, a book ahead of its time, more-or-less self-published by a disillusioned early Libertarian/ libertarian activist.  The author/publisher and I, with a handful of other young (it turns out naive) idealists, has a role in the founding of the Libertarian Party of Michigan… in June 1972 in Taylor, Michigan.

I say sleeper-cell because most in our milieu of those days were asleep when it came to understanding who actually stood behind the curtain of the Leviathan State.  It didn’t matter; we were going to crush the little commie pukes no matter what… and in record time.  When OTP was issued, I think it meant something to about three really radical left-wing, hippie libertarians[1] living in a rundown flat somewhere in Long Beach, CA. Movie Review: Snowden (2016)

“Truth is only treason in the empire of lies.” (10/10)
Directed by Oliver Stone

snowdenWatching Snowden will be a life-changing experience for just about anyone who cares about civil liberty… around the world as well as on (and inside) our own US doorsteps. [The next day I placed these pimple band-aids over the camera lenses on my two computers… even though I have never configured or used my cameras. I’m also thinking about storing my smart phone in the microwave oven when not in use, and regularly sweeping my cat’s whiskers for listening devices.] The constant underlying theme that I take away from Snowden: the snooping capabilities being applied to anyone and everyone can literally pick pepper out of gnat feces… from a distance of, like, say, Jupiter.

Stone is brilliant in laying out how unbridled high-tech spying along with the military’s super weapons, that we KNOW about—chiefly Hellfire-missile-equipped drones—, is used to basically to murder men, women, and children in any of the 156 countries (staging from the 700+ American military bases) where we have a military presence around the world. Check this photo collage below, I superimposed the prestrike still and the poststrike still from this YouTube video on an American flag.[1]

drone1_flagAbout the Movie

I do want to get into the details of the horrific attacks that unlimited surveillance sets up in conjunction with terminally corrupt government. But let me begin my review in a more standard way, namely by listing what’s so special to me about this once-in-a-lifetime film: Continue reading
