Guest Column: Will The Drone Wars Continue?

“They hate us because we murder their women and children.”
By Daniel McAdams, exec director Ron Paul Institute [original column]

Dear Friends and Benefactors of the Ron Paul Institute:

With the inauguration finished and the protests finished (for now), the new Trump Administration has set about the business of governing. There may be a bit of inertia early on, as newly-confirmed Cabinet Secretaries take their positions and the second tiers are filled and so on. But early actions also tend to set the tone for an Administration and sharp breaks are noticeable right away.

That is why it was disheartening to learn that in his second full day in office, President Trump approved two drone strikes on Yemen — a country with which we are not at war but have been bombing since 2002. US military action in Yemen is ostensibly aimed at ridding the country of al-Qaeda, and the weekend’s victims were all said to be “al-Qaeda militants,” but in fact US involvement in Yemen has been designed from at least 2015 to support Saudi Arabia’s attack on and invasion of the country. After the Saudi-backed president, Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, was ousted by fighters of the Houthi tribe, Yemen’s northern neighbor launched an all-out assault to return Hadi to power. Continue reading

Guest Column: Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish

Obama the War Criminal Butcherer of Women and Children
By Paul Craig Roberts [Original column here.]

When you believe in things
That you don’t understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain’t the way — Stevie Wonder

Editor’s Intro:

Unless a CIA-led preemptive coup against Donald Trump is successful and leaves the current one in the saddle a bit longer, the man known by the system as Barack Hussein Obama will be leaving the Oval Office on January 19, next Thursday. Whoever he is or was, the 44th president is the epitome of the made man for the über-globalist syndicate running America and the Western World. What a complete artificial human being, a phantom, a nonentity! Just scour the Web for this organism’s actual reality, much stranger than fiction.

Unfortunately, the mirage person was the focal point for unleashing holy hell on real people planetwide, especially for what he boasted that he really ENJOYED most of all: with his hand on the joy stick (I’m paraphrasing only slightly), “I like killing women and children with drones; I’m good at it.” PCR captures the essence of our bona fide psychopath in chief as he walks out the door, and identifies all those wonderful things we need to remember him for. [Note: the Stevie Wonder lyrics seem apropos: so many people were taken in by the false front… and, as a consequence, untold millions of others paid the ultimate price.

Hard to believe I voted for O in 2008! To save us from Warhead Bush. We are sooo lied to.

And if Trump inaugurates, I fear it will be deja vous all over again. Tho I didn’t vote for him.

Paul Craig Roberts:

There is no doubt that US President Barak Obama is a war criminal as are his military and intelligence officials and most of the House and Senate. Continue reading

Guest Column: When Fear Comes

Timely observations on the end of freedom
By Chris Hedges [Excerpt: Read full column in OpEdNews.com here.]

“Right totalitarianism, left totalitarianism, any way you look at it you lose.” — Editor… from a really good song by Simon and Garfunkel

###

Alexander Solzhenitsyn in “The Gulag Archipelago,” his profound meditation on the nature of oppression and resistance in the Soviet gulags, tells the story of a man who was among prisoners being moved in the spring of 1947. The former front-line soldier, whose name is lost to history, suddenly disarmed and killed the two guards. He announced to his fellow prisoners that they were free.

“But the prisoners were overwhelmed with horror; no one followed his lead, and they all sat down right there and waited for a new convoy,” Solzhenitsyn writes. The prisoner attempted in vain to shame them. “And then he took up the rifles (thirty-two cartridges, ‘thirty one for them!’) and left alone. He killed and wounded several pursuers and with his thirty-second cartridge he shot himself. The entire Archipelago might well have collapsed if all the former front-liners had behaved as he did.”

The more despotic a regime becomes, the more it creates a climate of fear that transforms into terror. At the same time, it invests tremendous energy and resources in censorship and propaganda to maintain the fiction of the just and free state.

Poor people of color know intimately how these twin mechanisms of fear and false hope function as effective forms of social control in the internal colonies of the United States. They have also grasped, as the rest of us soon will, the fiction of American democracy. Continue reading

Guest Column: Whose Mind is it, Anyway?

How we become slaves of the system
by Bob Livingston, Personal Liberty [full original column here]

Almost everything you think and do is against your best interest and you don’t even realize it. It’s planned that way.

The state seeks absolute control of your mind, body and spirit. Can the state succeed? It has, but only a precious few ever know.

Your mind and your thoughts are not your own. Almost every thought you have channels you toward the state.

By the time a child grows up and goes through the public (non)education system, he or she has no thoughts of his or her own. By the time that person is finished with college, the system has sealed his or her thought processes so that nothing is questioned. The imperative to inquire beyond what comes from the propaganda media and our leaders is gone.

Our minds are so smug in darkness and organized confusion that we are complete automatons. Our ego, our individuality, is completely excised and we are completely transferred into the state organism and group thought. Any deviation from the system by anyone is met with hostility by friends and neighbors.

By this we become locked into a system based only on conventional wisdom.  Conventional wisdom is what everybody knows. It is the court history (faux history) we receive in school and through the controlled media, repeated ad nauseum. Continue reading

Guest Column: Electoral College Makes it Official

Donald Trump Officially Becomes 45th US President-Elect
by Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers [original column here]

December 19, 2016. Final count:

  • 304 Trump
  • 228 Clinton
  • 3 Powell
  • 1 Kasich/ Paul
  • 1 FAITH SPOTTED EAGLE

Congratulations to the GOP Electors who “stuck to their guns” despite death threats and intimidation by tantrum-throwing leftists who inundated the Electors with calls, emails, and even in-person “visits” to their homes. As far as we can tell, this is the first time in American history that Electors actually received multiple death threats by political zealots attempting to terrorize them into changing their votes. Just imagine what Obama, Clinton, and the mainstream press would be saying if the situation was reversed, and Trump supporters had threatened to kill Democratic electors in an attempt to force them to change their votes. The Trump supporters issuing such threats would be have been condemned as terrorists, anti-democratic extremists, and traitors, and there would have been widespread demands for their arrests.

But when Democratic supporters threatened to kill electors, along with calling for the assassination of Trump and the raping and killing of his family members, the Obama Admin, Hillary Clinton, and Democratic Party leaders were entirely silent, and likewise for their fellow-traveler comrades in the media. We heard crickets. By their silence they signaled their approval of this terrorist campaign of intimidation of electors. Continue reading

Guest Column: Libertarians and The Alt-Right…

… brothers in arms toward leftist destruction
by Shane Trejo [go to source original column here]

Lately, there has been a great deal of petty bickering going on between libertarians and members of the alt-right. This turf war is being waged primarily through social media, and much of the time, it is centered around disputes on contentious issues such as multiculturalism and open borders. Instead of arguing about the specifics of these nuanced issues and further dividing the two factions, libertarians and members of the alt-right should find common cause against on their extremely dangerous, increasingly deranged, and virulently statist enemies of the political left.

The Impact of the Alt-Right

At the current moment, the alt-right is emboldened by their perceived success. Whether true or not, they have given themselves credit for memeing Donald Trump into the White House. Based on the media coverage of their exploits, it is hard to disagree with this assessment. Hillary Clinton read Alex Jones’ conspiracy theories and ridiculous headlines penned by Milo Yiannopoulos at live events during the height of campaign season. Her campaign actually released an online resource depicting Pepe the Frog as a white supremacist threat. The alt-right is the left’s preferred boogeyman of the moment, a distinction that libertarians enjoyed at the height of the tea party era.

Sadly, many libertarians have reacted to the alt-right with much of the same admonition as the left. They have repeated talking points straight out of CNN, led by the once relevant Jack Hunter and other creatures of Washington D.C. swamp. These hacks are only concerned about protecting their bread and butter and refuse to see the bigger picture. At the very least, libertarians should be cackling feverishly at the Idiocracy-meets-the-Twilight-Zone new political normal that has resulted due to Trumpmania. Libertarians should appreciate the bizarre and ruinous impact that the alt-right is having on the body politic at large. Continue reading

Guest Column: Big Money Intends To Shut Down Our Website

Some disturbing discoveries surrounding the latest propornot.com fiasco
By Paul Craig Roberts [Full column here.]

Note: What Paul and others are taking on reminds me of the 1999 movie The Cider House Rules, starring Michael Caine, Tobey Maguire, Charlize Theron, and Delroy Lindo. It is based on the book by John Irving. The message is that just because somebody, somewhere, without any connection to others’ real lives sets down a rule for others in writing—in the movie, a list of 12 ludicrous rules is posted to illiterate cider house workers, such as they have to go up to the roof to sleep—such silly, arbitrary rules are malicious and real people should ignore or defy them en masse.

Today, in Washington, particularly, legislators pass legislation or executives issue edicts that are completely antihuman. Based on a recent Washington Post column, the US House has passed a law that enables the federal government to shut down sites that it feels are Russian propaganda outlets. The WaPo PropOrNot list of 200 includes the Ron Paul Institute, Natural News, and PCR’s site! Is this a violation of fundamental First Principles’ law? You betcha. And qua Cider House Rules, we the people are going to ignore and defy all such tyrannical measures. [And they keep coming every day. It’s obvious that the Men of the Power Sickness are pulling out all the stops and behaving like dictators. They are at the end of their ropes, so let’s proceed quickly to hang them… from lamp posts.]

Dr. Roberts Column:
