Brian’s Column: Snowden-Manning 2016

“… effecting the Revolution in hearts and minds… “

http://brianrwright.com/Snowden-Manning.jpgRemember the climactic scene in the Wachowski Brothers’ V is for Vendetta where the people of jolly ol’ England decide they’ve had just about enough of black bag government? Thousands of them, all wearing Guy Fawkes costumes, march directly on several companies of stormtroopers bristling with automatic weapons and supported by artillery and armor. What happens? What do all these heavily fortified and gunned up state enforcers do when faced with a determined rush of a whole city of unarmed men, women, and children ‘mad as hell and not bloody gonna take it anymore?!’

I won’t spoil the movie. 🙂 But the point is along the lines of what Sam Adams stated: that all we need to to defeat tyranny is to become an immediate overwhelming majority bred of an “…irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” Also, one of my favorite quotations from John Adams is pertinent:

“The Revolution was effected before the War commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people, was the real American Revolution.”

When in the course of human events, two individuals reveal high federal crimes .AND. those individuals are hounded or tortured to be caged by those federal criminals, a decent  humankind shows respect for such individuals by bringing their tormentors to justice.

And what better tools have we than laughter at and ridicule of the naked king?

When I first broached the subject on a Facebook forum of creating and promoting the above bumper sticker to support our friends, and also mentioned that Ron Paul had launched a petition for clemency for Mr. Snowden, one Reichard White replied, “Clemency, hell… the Congressional Medal of Honor.” Exactly! Both Ed Snowden and Private Manning risked “their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honors” to expose heinous crimes of a rogue United States government running amok via its military and intelligence services. These are the villains, not Snowden and Manning.

Both establishment political parties are integral to the travesty.

Whoever the oligarchy parties run for president-and-vice in November of 2016 are going to be feeble facsimiles of legitimate human candidates. Hillary? Sarah? Q.E.D. [With the possible exception of Rand Paul, should he miraculously survive the primaries. But Rand is not at all like Papa Ron; the Senator has already shown a propensity to destroy his libertarian consensus and further has planted a giant suckup straw firmly into the nether regions of the Ziocon mothership in Tel Aviv.]

Suppose they gave an election and nobody voted… or voted write-in for real people.

Let’s set the stage, create a V for Vendetta ending for a federal government that smart persons know must be dissolved quickly in an orderly fashion. Tell the pretend-human rulers we know who they are, that we do not need them, and that we’re coming after them. [We expect reparations.] Say it with a smile and with a style: Snowden-Manning 2016.

Please go to http://www.snowden-manning-2016.com/ and make your order. You may deal directly with the sticker source (BuildASign.com)—who also makes magnetic signs—or simply use the design I’ve created and pay me a small middleman fee. My main interest is in seeing hundreds of thousands (or millions) of these pretty little decorations on bumpers across the country and around world. It was either Harry S. Truman or Ronald Reagan who said “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.”

Easy to apply. Makes an excellent gift or party favor. Use for advertising purposes. Suitable and safe for small children. Think V for Vendetta. Quick peel-back tab for adroit, rapid placement on official vehicles. Especially striking on armored personnel carriers in small communities. Makes a stunning fashion statement when applied at a jaunty angle to Darth Vader head gear. Easy to remove for dimmer public servants who can’t take a joke.

  1. Great idea ! I have an idea to overwhelm “dc” with mail . Enough letters could cause someone to open one and think .

Probably not a productive attempt to achieve meaningful engagement with the establishment , one billion could only try !
